Camila P asked: I have this gorgeous 18k gold necklace that my great grandmom passed on to my grandmom, my grandmom to my mom and my mom to me. It’s kind of shiny but it looks a little black in some places. What’s a good way to clean it? Like at home..not at a jeweler.

BroknWing asked: I was given a necklace (2nd hand), I just can’t make out the stamp on the clasp to see what it says - Is there a way to tell if this is real gold, gold plating or costume jewelry?

mariev asked: I want to sell my gold jewelry but I don’t want to get ripped off, I also don’t really want to get it all appraised because that costs money (which I don’t have…) and if I do that and it all turns out to be worthless then I have even less money.
Any ideas? How legit are pawn shops?
